If I asked you to come up with flower names for girls, chances are high you wouldn’t be hard pressed to come up with a handful.
Rose, Lily, Poppy, and Daisy are all extremely common names that are quite literally the names of flowers, and there are many more along the same vein that you can probably recite to me off the top of your head right now.
When it comes to flower themed names that are used for boys – things are a little different. Chances are you’ll find it very difficult to come up with even a short list of these, let alone a list long enough to find a name you really like in the mix.
Is this because boy names that are based on flowers are hard to come up with, or is it because the names are few and far between?
In my opinion, it’s the latter – that there are far fewer names that work for boys that are based on flowers.
That being said, there are a few, and if you expand your search to – not only flower names – but names based on plants or nature-themed names in general that are perfect for boys, you’re likely to have quite a large selection to choose from.
I’ve done my best in the remainder of this article to give you as many options when it comes to ideas for naming boys after flowers, plants, or objects in nature in general to help you find the perfect name you’re after, but I’m completely certain there are a slew more that would make for excellent options – so if you can think of any flower, plant, or nature related boy names, please do leave these in the comments down below!
Now let’s get into the ones I’ve managed to trace down.
