In case you’re looking for a mystical female name, I’m hoping I was able to put together enough options for you so that even if you can’t find the exact perfect match out of all the names that I’ve recommended, you’ll be able to find a type of name or an idea that you like that sends you off in the perfect direction and does result in you finding the ideal name for your mystical female.
I’ve started this list off with a bunch of popular recommendations, like “Seraphina,” “Astrid,” “Vespera,” and “Lorelei” – amongst others, that are a great place to start, as they are commonly recommended for a reason.
“Arwen,” “Morrigan,” “Sansa,” and “Willow” are examples of popular culture fictional characters that are great to use as references if you’re looking for a mystical female name. There are plenty more of these that I’m sure I’ve left out, so please let me know if you think of any more that should have made it onto this list in the comments!
Mythological figures and characters also make great names for mystical females – from “Persephone” and Artemis to “Rhiannon” and “Brigid.” These work exceptionally well if you would like an interesting backstory for the woman or girl you’re trying to name.
“Sora,” “Lumi,” “Nyx,” and “Kali” are all great names for mystical females that work wonderfully if you like the idea of giving a name that’s short, but is also beautiful, poetic, and powerful sounding at the same time. If you prefer longer names, “Thalorynne,” “Nyxandria,” “Solenyxia,” and “Umbralyssa” are some of the unique sounding longer names I put together in a list, and the shorter names work perfectly as nicknames if you want a combination of both.
“Lumen,” “Velvet,” “Echo,” and “Fable” are some of my favourite single word, dictionary word nicknames for mystical females, which work as well for aliases and many as full on names if you ask me.
If you prefer more cool sounding names, I have a list of these as well, including “Nova,” “Rune,” “Wraith,” and “Solstice” amongst many others that work as nicknames and aliases very well as well.
I also have a list of names that are mystical and otherworldly sounding, like “Astraelune,” “Ebonastra,” “Mythralynne,” and “Selenythra.” These sound very unique and yet definitely have a vein of familiarity to them.
If you like the idea of giving your mystical female a name that sounds alien-like and also otherworldly – “Kalyxora,” “Echoryllis,” “Auralexyne,” and “Xyralithe” are some of the names I have in this list of recommendations, but the key here if you want to make a unique sounding one is to rely on the letters “K,” “X,” “Y,” and “L.” I feel like names with these types of letters definitely make a name sound more alien.

Names like “Vita,” “Chava,” “Bea,” and “Haya” all have meanings related to life, which also works very well in this context.
“Morrigan,” “Tisiphone,” “Ravenna,” and “Mara” all have meanings related to death, which, if you’re looking for a darker and more edgy slant to your mystical female name, work perfectly.
