Isn’t it strange how when we say “male surfer names” – we all know the chill, down to earth, cool dude vibe someone is meaning by that kind of reference?
In case you’re in the market for that type of name, I’m hoping I’ve included enough inspiration to help you find the perfect name you’re after, or at least help you come across an idea that leads you to the perfect name in the end.

There are the popular male surfer names that are really commonly suggested and thought up, like “Kai,” “Dylan,” and “Chase” – and these are all wonderful names, but I’ve relegated them to their own short list and included a lot more recommendations in case going through this list is not enough to have found exactly what you’re after.
I’ve also included a short list of first-and-middle name combinations that work well in the male surfer names vein, names like “Cody Finn” and “Beau Nash” – just to show you how they can look paired up, though of course you can mix and match names from any of these lists and, to be honest, they almost all go quite well with each other since they are similar vibe-wise.
In case you’d like some more ideas that are slightly different from the norm, I’ve included a list of places – cities, towns, coasts, oceans, that type of thing – that are associated with surfers in case you like the idea of using one of those for a name.
There are also a number of words associated with surfing that would make for good names or nicknames as well, so I’ve included these. For inspiration, I’ve included a list of famous male surfers to boot.
In case you prefer names that are on the shorter side, I’ve rounded up some of the best options up into one list, and have longer surfer male names in another list – if you prefer names on the longer side.
If you like the idea of one of each, a longer first name and a short middle name is typically my preference, but longer middle names and short first names also work!
Best of luck finding your male surfer name! Without further ado, here are the recommendations…
